RLabs Women held their first-ever Virtual Networking Date Night on Wednesday 27 May 2020. In the middle of a global pandemic, we are still committed to celebrating and connecting with our women entrepreneurs. As this was a virtual event, we were able to have women from around the world join in!
The pitching competition has become a staple at our Date Nights and of course we had to do it differently this time around. Before our event went live, we asked our audience to send us a 30-second video of them pitching their businesses/projects. Our resident, Billionaire announced the winners live on the stream with the winning videos being played live on the stream.
Each pitching winner won R1000 from Junk.fund to invest in their business. The winners for the night were as follows:
Yonela Khohloko – Inguquko – Equal and empower youth at the age of 12 years upwards.
Tayane Lee Williams – Hair Talk By Tay – Empowering communities to embrace their natural hair in all shapes and forms. We do this by hosting intimate hair events, 1 on 1 hair consultation as well as 1 on 1 motivation sessions and sell hair accessories to care and style natural hair
Musa Jakuja – Cooking Heals – Events and catering
Adine Pietersen – Godsmacked – Christian Apparel & Art, Turning God’s words into art. Artistic, poetic and encouraging words placed on clothing, etc
