RLabs women held their first networking date night event of the year for 2020 at the UCT Graduate School of Business, which is regarded as the best business university in Africa. What a way to celebrate our women entrepreneurs!
The RLabs woman had 8 beneficiaries for the evening. They had to pitch their business ideas and/or how they would use the investment to grow their business. It was then up to our in-house Billionaire to decide to invest in their businesses with either Junk.fund or Zlto.
Anna, who opened our Date Night by bringing the buck with some krump moves, received a surprise investment for her business, Anna B Graphic Design.
Junk.fund, the investment pillar of RLabs women, aims to invest in at least two startup entrepreneurs and social projects monthly.
The beneficiaries for the evening were as follows:
Zlto beneficiaries
Jilian Mtshayi – Emzini Baking. Jilian received an additional contribution from an audience member on the night. She received an oven to help with her baking.
Teneale Williams – Anchored
Tyler Thomson – Tyler Casey Creations
Keziah Coetzee – Kez MUA
Junk.fund beneficiaries
Aphiwe Anna Biyana – Anna B Graphic Design
Melissa Adams – Mel’s Educare. Melissa received an additional contribution from an audience member amounting to R1000.
Havanna Petersen – Eitch, Custom-made clothing
Shireen Hendricks – Athlone Dolphins Aquatics Swim Club
